Bronze and Glass

Research and design for Maison Alivon

Maison Alivon is a manufacturer of bronze marking tools since 1812.
Upon taking over the family business, passed down from generation to generation, Marion Saussier founded Maison Alivon editorial firm.
The objects that make up this universe are imagined from raw foundry elements, residual bronze shapes resulting from the manufacture of marking tools.
The founder repurposes and interprets these “Workshop Memories” called ruptures, filings, puddles, or nuggets, and transforms them into art objects and unique pieces.

It is from these materials, mixed with molten glass, that two collections of tableware, created exclusively for the editions Maison Alivon, were born.
Character Table – carafe, glasses, and paperweight, including ruptures and bronze nuggets (residual shapes and materials from the foundry)
Invisible Ink – carafe, glasses, citrus press, and candle holder, including bronze powders and puddles recovered at the manufacture.
